About Michael

I am a passionate professional with over 12 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, and evaluating biomedical and robotic technologies. As the lead inventor of a Canadian and US patent—for which the technology has been licensed to a Canadian company—I take pride in my ability to transform innovative ideas into technologies that improve lives. Collaboration is at the core of my approach and I thrive in diverse, multidisciplinary teams.

My proficiency in research and design is highlighted by first-author publications in several widely read scientific journals, including 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘐𝘌𝘌𝘌/𝘈𝘚𝘔𝘌 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘔𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘴, and 𝘗𝘓𝘰𝘚 𝘖𝘕𝘌, and has been featured in numerous media outlets. I have also delivered research presentations at national and international conferences (e.g., 𝘋𝘺𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘞𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘐𝘊𝘖𝘙𝘙) and acquired competitive research awards totalling over $160,000. In addition to my expertise in design, I have strong teaching and interpersonal skills. Developing and delivering university-level courses and volunteering in the community have enabled me to share my knowledge and inspire the next generation of engineers and entrepreneurs.

With my extensive background in research and design, I am well-equipped to play a key role in developing innovative solutions that bridge the gap between technology and its users.
